Royal Air Maroc repatriates Moroccan citizens stranded in Ukraine
The airline Royal Air Maroc offers special repatriation flights to Moroccan nationals established in Ukraine, particularly students, who are numerous in this country bordering Russia. This measure taken by the RAM aims to repatriate Moroccan students stranded in Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian invasion in this country.
Indeed, the Moroccan company has indicated that it provides Moroccans from Ukraine who have crossed the border to neighboring countries with repatriation flights from three airports. Those of Warsaw-Chopin, in Poland, of Henri-Coandă of Bucharest, in Romania and of Ferenc Liszt of Budapest, in Hungary.
In a press release made public by Royal Air Maroc and taken up by some Moroccan media, this measure was taken after consultation with the Moroccan authorities. It allows Moroccan students fleeing Ukraine to reach Morocco from the three border countries concerned.
The Moroccan airline also announces that three flights will be operated for this purpose, Wednesday, March 2 from Warsaw, Bucharest and Budapest to Casablanca. RAM has set the ticket price at 750 dirhams, or about 70 euros. A unique prize for the benefit mainly of Moroccan students coming from Ukraine and their family members. Understand that Moroccans established in the three border countries are not affected by these thefts. They may not be affected by this very special rate, very far from the hundreds of euros required for these lines available only with stopovers.
With seven thousand Moroccan nationals in Ukraine, these repatriation flights are an absolute necessity, due to the ongoing war in that country. The majority of them are students and RAM invites them to buy tickets for repatriation on the company’s website and through its call centres.
