Items you must not bring in your luggage when travelling with Ryanair

When traveling with Ryanair, you should be aware that you are subject to special rules regarding what you pack in your luggage. Certain items are strictly prohibited:

In the cabin

This includes all types of dangerous objects such as pointed and sharp items (bucket, knife, angle cutters, etc.) or flammable items (lighter).

– Respect the liquid rule

For several years, restrictive measures have been applied by airlines, including Ryanair, on liquids and gels contained in cabin baggage: they must be placed in a closed transparent bag (transparent and measuring 20 cm x 20 cm or less).

Please note, however, that purchases of liquids made after the security check (in Duty Free stores) are made freely subject to customs limitations.

In the hold

In the cabin and in the hold, there are several items prohibited during air travel, and exceptionally on board Ryanair aircraft. The first category includes weapons and any blunt object:

  • firearms,
  • bladed weapons,
  • electric weapons
  • sharp objects
  • pointed and sharp work tools.

However, objects such as ammunition, screwdrivers and pairs of scissors are prohibited in the cabin, but can be placed in the hold.
