AFCON 2025: Royal Air Maroc adapts its schedule
Royal Air Maroc has begun adjusting its flight schedule, specifically designed to transport customers wishing to attend the matches of the African Cup of Nations, which will be held in Morocco between 2025 and 2026.
RAM acknowledges that the country’s authorities have made a real effort to help meet the needs related to the increased passenger flow during the tournament. It will now focus on revising its schedule, taking into account the necessary changes based on the agreements received and comparing information regarding the initially proposed flight schedules.
More than 600 additional flights on the schedule
Six hundred or more additional flights will be operated by the Moroccan airline to transport fans and tourists wishing to attend this football event, the largest in Africa.
RAM estimates that more than 500,000 fans will use its aircraft during this period. The airline will offer direct flights from its various hubs to the capitals of the countries participating in the tournament, such as Abidjan (Ivory Coast), Dakar (Senegal), Cairo (Egypt), Tunis (Tunisia), Bamako (Mali), and more.
An enhanced domestic flight schedule
To enable the many fans eager to support their national teams in their epic journey and experience the excitement of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations matches, the national airline has established air bridges between the country’s various airports to facilitate travel for its customers.
A dedicated domestic air transport program will also be implemented for the national teams, providing shuttles between their base camps and host cities throughout the tournament.
An app dedicated to booking airline tickets

An app called Yalla was recently launched by CAF, allowing fans to book tickets for AFCON matches. Each supporter must obtain a Fan ID to be authorized to enter the stadium and the fan zone.
The app can also issue electronic visas, valid for entry to Morocco during the tournament period only.
Yalla will also bring together hotel, transportation, and even tourist deals for a fully immersive experience.
