Royal Air Maroc increases flights to São Paulo

In response to anticipated increased demand on the Casablanca-São Paulo route, Royal Air Maroc has announced its intention to increase the number of its flights to the Brazilian destination.

The airline, a member of the Oneworld alliance, plans to add two weekly flights to Guarulhos Airport by the end of the year, bringing the total number of flights on this route to five. This represents an additional 548 seats each week, as this international flight is operated with a 274-seat Boeing 787-9.

According to Othman Baba, Royal Air Maroc’s Regional Operations Director for Latin America, the number of passengers traveling on this route reached an 80% load factor last year.

Regarding the increased service to the sunny destination, O. Baba stated: “We have decided to increase our services to São Paulo, further improving connectivity for our customers, while offering our passengers traveling to and from South America seamless access to more than 90 destinations worldwide.”

Relaunched in 2024 after being suspended due to the spread of the coronavirus.
