Royal Air Maroc acquires a new Boeing 737 MAX 8

Royal Air Maroc is expanding its fleet with a new aircraft: a Boeing 737 MAX 8, which will likely be deployed on its medium-haul flights.

The new aircraft features a two-cabin configuration with a capacity of 156 seats, including 12 Business Class seats.

For RAM, the delivery of this aircraft is part of its strategy to become a leading airline in Africa and to contribute to promoting Morocco as a destination by strengthening its international flight network.

A growing fleet

The Boeing 737 MAX 8, which landed at Casablanca’s Mohammed V Airport on April 26 from the manufacturer’s Seattle-based facility (SEA/KBFI), brings the number of aircraft in the Kingdom’s airline fleet to 66.

In 2025, the Moroccan carrier received two aircraft of the 787-8 MAX and 787-9 Dreamliner type.
