Royal Air Maroc vs. Ryanair: a price comparison for domestic and international flights
Over a decade of passion for writing, entirely dedicated to news about the air transport industry. On this site, I share the latest news from the aviation sector in Morocco with both rigor and enthusiasm.
Royal Air Maroc and Ryanair are two airlines that operate certain routes together within Morocco, such as flights connecting Marrakesh to Fes, Tangier, Oujda, Errachidia and Tetouan, as well as routes connecting Agadir to Tangier and Ouarzazate, and international flights from Casablanca and Marrakech to Paris, and from Tangier and Nador to Barcelona…
Royal Air Maroc is well known to the general public for the quality of its services and the comfort offered on board. In contrast, Ryanair attracts a large number of passengers thanks to its “low-cost” fares, which are often significantly lower than those of its competitors; however, this offering comes with a more basic ticket, for which baggage and additional services are charged separately.
The table below provides an overview of the approximate ticket prices offered by the two airlines for flights they both operate; these prices vary depending on the fare chosen by the passenger. Royal Air Maroc’s fare options range from “Eco Essential” (which includes no checked baggage) to Business Class, with “Eco Classic” and “Eco Flex” options also available, while Ryanair offers lower entry-level fares, with additional charges for baggage and other services:
