New hub for EasyJet in Morocco : Two new flights announced
EasyJet will soon inaugurate its hub at Marrakech-Menara Airport, and the low-cost airline plans to base three A320 aircraft there, deployed on three routes, two of which will be to France.
Two direct flights from Marrakech to France
Thanks to this new base, established through a partnership agreement between easyJet and the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT), the British carrier will be able to strengthen its service from Morocco. Two routes are already planned for next year from Marrakech-Menara to Lille-Lesquin and Strasbourg-Entzheim, with a frequency of twice a week starting May 3.
A German destination added to the schedule
Two days earlier, easyJet will deploy one of its A320s based at Marrakech-Menara to Hamburg, Germany. This route will operate year-round with two weekly flights.
“We are delighted to add Marrakech to our network of hub cities. Morocco is playing an increasingly important role in our network, offering travelers more opportunities to connect to Europe,” said Kenton Jarvis, CEO of easyJet.
In Morocco, easyJet already serves five major destinations: Agadir, Essaouira, Marrakech, Rabat, and Tangier, connecting them to 25 destinations across Europe. This year, the UK-based low-cost airline aims to offer four million seats on its routes to Morocco.
